Send it to quote@xardas.com. One of our friendly technicians will reply with a free quote, including a screenshot of your part so you can check dimensions.
What kind of files do you need?
stl files are best, but feel free to contact us if you have another file type. We may be able to convert it for you.
What's an stl file?
stl is a standard file format that describes the surface geometry of a 3d object. Most 3d software packages will allow you to export an stl, although you may need a plug-in.
What else do you need?
- Color. If you don’t specify a color choice, we’ll print your part in natural (ivory) ABS, but we also stock white, gray, black, blue, red, bright yellow, and olive.
- Approximate size. We'll be sending you a screenshot to verify dimensions, but it helps if you give us an idea of how big your part is.
No. We charge a $25 minimum set-up fee per order, but otherwise you can place as small or as large an order as you wish.
Can I print in more than one color?
At this time we can only print in one solid color at a time. If you need different parts in different colors, there is a $15 color change set-up fee for the second color and a $10 color change fee for subsequent colors.
My model is pretty complex, is that a problem?
Not at all. Our soluble support system is ideal for printing complex parts.
How small can my part’s details be?
Details must be larger than 0.020 inch. Anything smaller will be lost in the process.
How big can my part be?
We print up to 10x10x12 inches. Smaller items are fine as long as the details are larger than 0.020 inch. Larger items can be printed in two halves, for example, and glued together after printing.
I have a model of a ball. Is that okay?
Ideally, anything hollow should have a small hole from which the support material can dissolve or be printed in pieces that can be glued together. Otherwise, you can choose to fill your model with "sparse" support material; please email if you have questions.
Can I use my prototype to make a silicone mold?
Absolutely. You can also drill, machine, sand, and paint it, since it's made of strong ABS plastic.
What do you charge to ship?
We don’t pad the shipping charges. You pay just what it costs to ship, and we can ship any way you’d like.
Can you ship internationally?
Yes, using the method of shipping you prefer: UPS, DHL, or Priority International via the USPS.
I'm curious - what does Xardas mean, and how do you say it?
It's pronounced Shardas, and it's a word in the Galician language of Spain meaning mackerel!
How do I pay for my part?
Paypal.
